The small coastal town of Umkomaas is your base for diving Aliwal Shoal.  This is the place to be for shark dives, wreck dives and reef diving. 

 

Aliwal Shoal is a large reef approximately 3 kilometers in length. It has many different dives sites at various depths so there is something for everyone.

There are 2 wrecks namely The Produce, which sits at 32 meters, and The Nebo at 27 meters.

Aliwal Shoal offers some of the best shark diving experiences in the world, well know for ragged tooth shark, oceanic black tip and tiger shark sightings.
